  • MOO3 vs CIV3???

I am wondering how many of the developing team for MOO3 have played CIV3, and how they think their game stacks up against civ. I have always been a long tim fan of civ. Does this mean I will or will not like MOO3. I want to continue to enjoy Civ, but I also would like to expand the games i play, and I am thinking that perhaps Moo3 would be the perfect place to get started. What does everyone think?

I think the best way to "get started" is to play MoO 2 since MoO 3 didn't come out yet. As a gamer, I strongly advise you to play that great game. And since MoO3 is still some months away from the shelves, I think you still have enough time to play it, and enjoy it.

I've been playing Civ3, and I know that Alan has because he's said so; I'm sure others on the team have too.

About all I'm going to say is that I've kept playing it and been enjoying myself; it really wouldn't be in my best interests to get into a vs. match on the subject, especially since our game isn't on the shelves yet.

        Very wise idea.

Hey Stormhound I'm trying to find out peoples interest in a RPG, and I've started a poll in the OT.

Do you think you could check it out?

I'm interested in any pointers someone in the gaming industry would have.

When ever you have time. Thanks in advance.

I responded MOO3; while I have played neither Civ3 nor MOO3, there is a possibility that I will purchase MOO3 while there is no possibility that I will purchase Civ3, owing to the numerous game reviews that basically say "We give this game a 98% because it's basically the exact same game as Civ2 but has better graphics, and we LOVED Civ2."

Of course, the jury is going to be out on MOO3 for a few more months.

'have already given my comments on the question in the last weeks, just want to confirm here that Civ III has the extremly addictive way to ensnare the player..."anti-social consequences" they say?!
