Most things, yes. After all, the engineers have to have time to code all of these brilliant notions.
However, we're still doing things like soliciting names of things from forum members (case in point, Strategic Minerals), which can be a lot of fun. And as we reveal other pieces of the "elephant" (reference to a famous poem), there's some discussion and refinement that accompanies them...so there's still time for voices to be heard.
And yes, it was a cool (and unexpected, and quite timely) way to get in. Of course, the old saw about loving sausage and respecting the law probably applies to the game design business as well.
If I'd known then what I know now, I'd never have done all the stuff that led me to what I know now...
