    No-CD

    Is/was there such a thing available? I have the game on both my desktop and laptop. I can't sit at my desk for long periods so ... and having a No-CD will save time and wear-and-tear on the original CD.

    Yes I own the original CD.

    copy entire cd to hard drive and install game from this new dir

        Just somehow get all the CD's files into the install directory, preferrably without over-writing anything, but it's probably OK if you do. Then, find the file orioncd.ini, open it with a text editor and make sure it has the path to the game directory. After this, unzip/run any patch files (e.g. 1.31, then 1.40).
