  • Pirates in MOO I. AI does identify planet by the name I game it.

For example, there is pirate activity in the Paladin system. Well, I renamed the Paladin system to something else. I have no idea what system on the map is the Paladin system, so have no idea where to send the ships to decrease the Pirate activity and reclaim the trade income.

Some games it does call the planet by my rename, but not in the game I am playing now.

I could go back to some of my first saves and look for it, but that sounds like too much work. Does anyone know of an easier way to find the name of a planet that has one name I call it,and another name the computer calls it.

Not a major biggie. Just wondering.

    Thanks for any responses.

Look for all the places (=menus etc) where the game lists SYSTEMS' and PLANETS' names and see if you can find it anywhere.

I seem to recall that you can spot them from the colony map. You will see the drop off in production. I probably am confused on this, but I do remember detecting them without the planet name.

Aha, I think you're thinking right. But, I must have had ships on the right planet, even though I didn't move a one, because the pirate activity was stopped. But, I remember now, too, that when I scroll through the planets, it will show in the picture in the top right hand corner ( I don't know what its prober name is) 'Pirates' just like it does for 'Comet', 'Plaque', etc., although I will have to wait until the next time it happens to confirm this since, as I said, the situation fixed itself without me doing anything in this game.

        Thanks your your help.
