Oh, sorry, I didn´t noticed we're in real business now. Trying to get play MoO2 today and check where we are.
The Chuck Norris military unit was not used in the game Civilization 4, because a single Chuck Norris could defeat the entire combined nations of the world in one turn.

I have not installed MOO2 on my new PC yet. I will this week, because I want to see the April Fools joke.

                Sorry gents........

Didn't want to let you down. Still having troubles getting it to run. Maybe I shall have not tried couple of tweaks which came up here. I already tried it (couple of times) with re-installing, but it keeps crashing. I am trying to find my old W95-CD to re-install windows..........

And I only get a crash to desktop under my W2000

For win 2k temporary disabling of DirectDraw helps to some extent. It can be disabled by a tool called dxdiags.exe which is somewhere on your system volume. Of course you'll have to get used to manage the colonists from the planets screen. Trying to move them from the in-planet screen crashes even with DDraw disabled.

And of course Mr. Prezident if you want you can delegate the empire management to your loyal ministers :-)

Bakalov, if you would be willing to help me out on this one, I really would appriciate.

For the colonist-movement, I always use the colony-overview screen anyway

I'll give this one a try. Didn't think about directdraw...........

It is easy to test the directdraw - find the dxdiag.exe on the system volume - mine was in c:\winnt\system32 .
Run it and go to the "Display" tab. At the bottom you will see "DirectDraw: enabled" and a button labelled "disable". You can enable it from the same button again at any time. Noting complex ....
