  • Java Moo - regular updates

Java MOO is now far enough along that I am going to start providing regular updates on this game to solicit feedback and suggestions. If you are interested in the project, you can get to the updates from the Java Moo page at www.raykerby.com/jmoo

If you are not interested in this project, please ignore this message!

    Looks good!

I checked Rays page, but he does not have a date to tell when the last thing was done. It looks about the same as when he posted the link.

Hopefully we will get some reports in a bit.

              Any updates?!?

              LOL

There is a link at the top of the page that says "Read the latest update". It takes you to my developer blog here. Feel free to join in those threads if you have any comments or suggestions.

There's lots of work going on. I am starting on ships now.

                    You're being paranoid.

I can't help it when the site's server is unresponsive, but I am providing daily updates on the game on the developer's blog.

Volunteers have offered to translate the game's text into 6 different languages.

Ships are now officially in the game. The AI will build scouts and send them to unexplored systems, colony ships to the uncolonized systems, and fighters to protect uncolonized systems until colony ships can get there. The fighters have no effect right now because ship combat is not in place yet.

The AI will also upgrade the scout & colony designs as new techs are learned.

I have some loose ends to clean up in the next 4-5 days, but then I'll start on ship combat & colony bombing.

Yes, I did see it. However, I think I have all of the MOO1 graphics I'll need for now.

                          Ray,

Thanks for the reply. Good luck up there in Allen. I actually live in Rowlett, but put Dallas as a reference. Need to check out the site...when it is up.

I can translate it into Chinese if you still don't have anybody for it.

I am definitely interested in this but am not sure how a non-Latin character set would work in the game. Would everything need to be converted to top-to-bottom?

Please email at raykerby@comcast.net if you want to discuss this further.

                              Thanks,
