Hi everyone - Ferris Valyn here

anyway, im wondering if someone can help me out

A while ago, I had moo2 on my comp, and i found an editor that allowed me to edit practically everything - planets, ships, map, location, players, heros, etc.

well, due to unitended consequences (ie computer dieing) I lost everything on that computer. I recently reloaded moo2 on my computer

now, I've found various planet and player and ship editors (the corion for example), but none that does everything and also does hero editoing and the others

I really want an editor that will do everything, but will settle for just a hero editor.

So can someone help me out?

Did you use corion2? It does hero editing just fine for me.

The version of corion2 I have doesn't seem to have hero editing - where did you get it?

My version of corion2 (1.0) doesn't have a menu option for leader editing, but that S button next the the ? button takes you to the leader editing.

You sure you have Coion2 1.0? The face is the leader editor and seems to allow modification of attributes. I never tried it, but looks possible.

MooIII was not the worst game I ever bought, but was not much fun.
I enjoyed the combat with massive fleets late in the game, but it was a pain to get things to do as you wanted. The leaders died at the drop of a hat. I think they mad some changes to that and oher issue, but I never got back to play with the patch. I still intend to some time.

I played the first two weeks non stop before packing it in.

                        I'm new here, but I've been a Moo2 player since 1997.
I must admit, that I wish Moo2 could be more editable.
I have found the following programs:
MeltPot - You can change the races in the game. Their pics and behaviour, even the race picture (in the race pick and diplomacy screens, not the animations when they talk to you)
Corion - you can change all the planets (useful for 'eliminating' orion in MP games) and ships and stuff like that.

Those are the MOST useful ones I have found.
                        The others are:
LBxplorer - (doesn't help me, but I noticed some of you were looking inot the LBX files, so this might help)
HE10 - A leader editor (I have a couple of these, the others are called: MooHero and Officer)
OCL - Which is a way of changing all the values of techs. You can put dechs in different places in the tech tree, change the RP cost, change how much all the buldings help your colonies, change weapon costs, mass, damage, modifiers (Mods, like Mirv or PD).

The only problem I had with this, was that you can't change the text files that give a description of what the technologies do. Without being able to do this, nobody else would know things had been changed. So, if any of you LBX hackers, can hack the text files, this could become a revolutionary tool.

I also have about 20 other Moo2 hack programs that I've picked up over the years. If you're interested in getting them, let me know and I'll put them on a web page somewhere for you all to download.

                        M

I had no idea there were so many editors.

Morraine, if you got ICQ, you can send them to me at 4506289 (not using MOOII at this point in time but I might experiment with them at a future stage)

                              Not to worry about ICQ.
I was trawling the net lastnight. The place I got them, is an FTP archive, that still exists

                              Look here

                              Hope this helps you.
