Why is moo3 so easy on impossible is theis Game ****** or what

I love this game. But the ai is just far too retarded.

I am fed up with having to cut my own races balls off just to allow the ais to catch up.

Even with research penalties, it is easy to end up as the no.1 on techs after 200 turns.

Has anyone made a mod to make the ais really nasty?

Of course the other problem is no matter how many ais you select, they are not chosen by you, and you end up surrounded by pacifists, and one or two agressive ais, who have no idea of the conceot of building a bigger gun.

Is there anyway to make ais expand a bit quicker too? And then keep on going?
