About the dragon - let's enslave all of the rocks first, and then we can go for some dragon hunting :-)

About the tech - go for Alien Management Centers after the nano technology, it will help us to assimilate the conquered planets faster, the slaves will revolt less and we'll solve the morale concerning problems on our homeworld and any other future mixed pop colonies that we may have. Btw after the nano we can upgrade our nukes to mercs.

Then we can go for force fields (untill class 5 shields) or go for astro university and even an imperium government. The second way is very good if we want more of everything. Astr University will give us +1food/+1prod/+1sci and imperium will give +20% morale on all colonies, and some urgently needed command points.

We'll hope to get the drives and the gravity generators from the rocks.

Well I'd have called new elections, but I've got the technical writing class this semester, that kinda means I won't have time for anything else.

Sorry I missed this question before.

VMXA is for Virtual Machine eXtended Architecture. The one is because I changed locations and the dumies would not let me use my own old id of VMXA.

It is an old IBM mainframe Operating System.

I will try to get some elections started this week and otherwise resume your position

Although (I am afraid) I won't reach your master of reporting.

(I'll start some election threads soon).

I wish to be Ministry of Fusion Beams.

Research Ion Drive and Gravitah Generators, and build a battleship with the following items:
                Ion Drive
Tritanium armor (Trade for it, demand it, steal it, I don't care, just get it!)
                Class III Shields
                Positronic Computer
                Battle Pods
                Battle Scanner
                ECM Jammer
                Heavy Armor/Reinforced Hull (not both)
                9 HV ENV Fusion Beams
                9 PD CO Laser Cannons

                Then you will be unstoppable.

They are Repulsive, so no demand or trade. The good news is they are creative so they get all the tech.

                    Hi, Admiral Sparky :-)
A good design, but a bit out of date because the game is at t220 now ...

we need to decide on Ion engines(as the silicoids now seem to have them), vs getting to gravity generators
Seems not so out of date to me...

Ion engines should take priority though, since you can still fit 7 HV ENV Fusion Beams and a few PD lasers on a ship without that extra level of miniaturization, and Ion drive is quicker to research anyway.

                      Creative? Pussies

Not sure what the fact that they choose to use Creative has to dowith anything. Most of the players have beat the game every which way it can be beaten.
It was so long ago, that I forget how the vote came down, but actually I think a better case for the term would be for players taking UniTol or Lith races. They are much easier to win with.

You know what's even easier to win with? Unification, Telepathy, and LRAHW.

8, impossible, large galaxy, normal tech, normal galaxy age, random events on.

Telepathic, Warlord, Trans Dimensional, Omniscient, RHW, Feudal, Repulsive

This is about the easiest race I know of.

I just get a bit testy when people act like creative is some free pass. As if Uni this or that is so much harder. (not saying you did that)

They mainly want to point to not having to make tech choices. As if it is not pretty cut and dried for none creative races.

Mind you I don't play creative all that much, but it is another way to change the parameters. Not better, not worse.

Different gains, different strains. For a demo game, I think that there are too many opportunities to get bogged down in minutia and slow down the game.

Thus repulsive (no decisions about foreign relations) makes GREAT sense and creative (fewer decisions about tech choices) also speeds up the game.

VXMA1's last post looks like a "kill them while they are eggs" strategy -- and it might be a great second game start.
Those with lower expectations face fewer disappointments
