I guess what I am saying is I was not trying to make a case that creative sucks or is weak or anything.

Next time I'll see if I can bambozzle the crowd with 180 points worth of votes
Good catch, thoughThose with lower expectations face fewer disappointments

Once we finished here, we can make a run-off poll. But this way we limited what we want and can get a better picture what to vote for in the finial run.............. (should be next week)
(I know I haven't voted yet.)
I live & work near the government -- are you implying that I can't count in my favor
Next time I'll see if I can bambozzle the crowd with 180 points worth of votes
Good catch, though
I will keep an eye on you
I only realised it, by the way, when I was rechecking if I put all your votes in (ups......)

Creative 40 (+8)
Aquatic 40 (+5)
Dictatorship 40 (0)
Artifacts HW 40 (+3)
If we play creative, we need to compensate the slow start with something - I think Aquatic and Artifacts HW will do. I see that many people want to play with large populations (many votes for sub). Aquatic also gives pop bonus (actually it gives the gaia transformation bonus from the start) and also gives food bonus to feed your pop. On a large homeworld with my suggestion we will get 20 pop (with biospheres). A subterranean race will get 22 but will need one more farmer to feed its pop.Last edited by bakalov; August 8, 2003, 05:41.Against stupidity the very gods themselves contend in vain.

though, thats only a problem with tolerant, only there does population grow fast enough and large enough to put a food strain on your hw, in addition to needing a ton of freighters. You are pretty much forced to beeline for soil enrichment whether you picked uni or not.
as for food bonus's there are the food picks, aquatic, cybernetic(which is actually a good pick for production because of the surplus you generate working food is transfered to a surplus of production),unification and lithovore.

except for poor and ultra poor worlds with no infrastructure(and unless you picked +2 production), you get more production then food, and since it is 1/2 and 1/2 you can parley what would have been a worthless food surplus into a production surplus that is always worth while.

Exact aquatic benefits:
makes Tundra and Swamp worlds like Terran
makes Terran and Ocean like Gaia
Anyway this is a very good starting bonus. Only the +1 food costs 4 picks. It does not help so much late in the game but probably we will crush the enemies much earlier :-)Against stupidity the very gods themselves contend in vain.
