I wonder if this is why Infogrames switched its name to Atari? You know, to distance itself from games like MoO3 and CivIII.

The Code patch and data patch make the game alot better. Why not commit you are one of those who want MOO2.5 and Cil2.5 instead of MOO3 and Civ3.

What does this say about the intelligence of people in El Paso, Texas? They are paying $40,- when they could be PAID to take it away by Amazon (I assume Amazon deliver to Texas )

I cannot help it if Amazon doesnot know how to sell games and make money. Amazon was the main reason for the dot.com crask on wallstreet. People where dumd enought to pay 400 dollar ashare for than company that didnot earm one penny yet in pofit.

Actually Amazon was one of the few internet businesses NOT involved with the burst of the dot.com bubble, which is why Amazon are still happily trading today, and have not filed for bankrupcy.

              I like civ3.

You like moo3. that's it. period.

I am voicing my opinion on what others say about moo3 and its support.

Charlie, why don't you just play the game and enjoy it instead of coming here to bash anyone who decides to come here to challenge statements made?

It's my opinion, if you don't like it, then respectfully disagree.

              Don't bash.

                and by the way,

i do NOT want moo2.5 or whatever the cliche is these days to describe those unsatisfied with the game.

I want than game that doesn't play like than spreadsheet i use at work....

Take my opinion or leave it charlie boy. but don't use insults because you disagree.

Just say you disagree and let it be done.

Haha I was thinking the exact same thing...

And Charles seems to agree since I see no explaination for people buying it for 40$ if they could get it for -2.01, just a completely out of context (and possibly wrong, I wouldn't know but I'd tend to trust Jamski) bash of Amazon...

In shops over here, it's still at 45 Euros too... But I see no indication of them selling at all... Maybe they rather keep their stuff and sell it for 20 Euro in a year or so when all except diehard MoO2 fans have forgotten that MoO3 was ever committed (how I envy people that don't care!)

In away they did cause the dot.com fall when the other dot.com saw Amazon shares goes up to 400 dollar ashares other companies saw than change to unload worthless stocks on a public that was willing to buy anything with than dot.com. Greenspan the Chairman of the FRB was right about the dot.com bring wallstreet down.

I'd have loved it if my Amazon stocks had gone up to $400 dollars. I'd have sold sold sold

man, i can't understand much of what charles is saying...

either way, i really ought to have waited for moo3. as it stands, it's the second computer game purchase that i've made that i sorely regret; the other being the original ctp.

at least i didn't fork over money for that other bomb, enter the matrix.

Oh the original ctp... ouch. Ctp2 was much better, but it still lacked that civ2 modability, just like civ3.

                                FYI...

Amazon now has the game listed at $39.99. Apparently it hasn't been regulated to the "bargin bin" yet.

As previously mentioned, the rebate from Amazon (which was for NWN and two other games as well as MOO3) speaks more for the people at Amazon not being able to order the right quantities and manage their storage space than it does to the quality of the game.
