  • About Events

I have looked at some of the events you can encounter. and as usual I have some questions :

all have 3 options I assume they are good, neutral and evil, or can different choices have different effect (ie if you condense the underwater population you'll get a slight shift towards bad but if you eradicate them you get a huge)

is there some way you can change your action (condense them later) or make them productive members of society (ie they join your empire if left alone)

    thanks for your answers

You can't change your mind later on any event. You are burdened with your past choices for the entire game.

The choices correspond to good, neutral, and evil. The amount of change on the good/evil scale depends on the event. Some of the neutral choices IIRC will make a slight change on the good/evil scale.

but in some cases the good option means I'll kill off a lot of scientists to keep their discovery quiet, that cannot be good.

and the aliens, will they join my empire or will they quietly stay away?

I have found that in most cases, if you choose the Neutral option, the same event will come back to haunt you later, only the modifiers are bigger. I.e. the worm event:

        1st time:

        Good choice: Morale - 10%
        Neutral choice: No modifier
        Evil choice: Morale + 5%

You choose Neutral. Then, some time later...boom: Same event, only:

        Good choice: Morale - 25%
        Neutral choice: No modifier
        Evil choice: Morale + 15%

The same event can happen multiple times in the same game. The planetary choices are much more frequent than the other special events.
