So, I thought when I made my in-store purchase of GalCiv2, that it was Dread Lords and the Xpack, Dark Avatar together.

But while I was in another store yesterday, I noticed that the Gold Edition box was different than the one I purchased. Sure enough, I only got Dread Lords! Dangit!!

And I wondered why my maps never had any asteroids or the other new stuff I had read was included in DA. :P

But the good news? I can still play several vanilla games before I d/l the xpack.

I think there is a rebate if you have DL and purchase the Gold Edition. This means you don't have to pay twice. DA is good enough you should consider it.

The rebate offer ended several weeks ago unfortunately. However, I don't think you will be disappointed with Dark Avatar after playing through DL.
