  • Your Ideas for the Next Update....

For those of you who are new to buying Stardock software, the product you purchase is just the beginning of what you get.

Stardock updates it software based on customer feedback.

In the case of Galactic Civilizations II: Dark Avatar we are lookoing for suggestions and feature requests that players would like to see in a free update.

Mind you, these can't be massive new features (i.e. "Multiplayer" or "Fleet combat") but rather little things that you think would make the game more enjoyable for you and others.

Let us know what you'd like us to do. We are at your disposal!

There are some really great ideas floating around, this is your chance to give some input on the next update.

I'd like there be the possibility to trade credits/turn and influence/turn in interruptable deals.

For example, I'd like to pay the Korx on a per turn basis for them to attack somebody: and the payment stops when they make peace, or when I interrupt it (an early breach of contract might lead to a reputation hit)

It would make it possible to exchange Trade Objects (ultra spices, frictionless clothing etc) for cpt or ipt. And it'd allow me to cut the supply of those wares at the most critical moment

I would really like to have more stats - and yes I know the game already offers lots of those

Economywise, the game is lacking in stats, however. What percentage of my income is due to economy starbases/starbases mining economy resources, for example. That was I will know what the loss of a single starbase would mean to my economy. The same for the other resources.

Also a tool to better plan where to send freighters would be nice. Right now it seems random. And the game's documentation only says that the richer the world, the higher the trade route will yield. But rich in terms of what. Income?

      Anyway....more stats please

        That's an interesting idea.

So does the lack of replies mean that GalCiv II is so perfect that there is no room for improvement?

Perhaps. More likely is that the it is so feature rich that discovering them all takes a while.

Also, I'm looking toward the 1.60x patch to see what it does. The devs has suggested some of the ongoing difficulties will be addressed. We'll see what features it includes.
