I just randomized the AI races, apparently any race you customize is thrown into the mix. I was playing the Arceans, btw.

Now THAT's interesting! So when you customize a race that sticks and that configuration is then used as an AI race for subsequent games? That means that, in a way, you're playing yourself. Imagine if you, for instance, play with all the AIs and set them to be economically strong, or super warriors, or whatever.
Hmmm. Hmmmmmmm.
