On a planet's tile with a bonus (like +100% manufacturing) would it be best to put a factory or would a manufacturing capital with its +50% be better (due to possible additive or multiplicative effects)?

I'm pretty sure you would want a factory, as the 100% bonus applies to manufacturing points produced at that square and a manufacturing capital doesn't actually produce any manufacturing points, it only applies a planet-wide bonus to all other factories.
