Militaristic

I have noticed in the report section that I sometimes get a - point for being militaristic.
From game to game it's different. Now I noticed everyone has it as a minpoint to me.
Now I'm wondering what they exactly mean with it.

Are they more militaristic then me?
They want to go after the military victory?
I am a *****?

I believe it means they are afraid of your military. Either it's bigger then theirs or you have declared war on one or more other civs.

Some civilizations will like you (or at least respect you) more for having a large army, while building up your military will hurt your relations with some. I noticed this the other day when I went from having no military to the second largest in about 25 turns. Arceans and Drengin started having pluses next to "Militaristic" where they had minuses, and the Torians and others started liking me less.

Military Strenght and militaristic

I know what military strenght means, it's basicly how strong you are or weak regarding the other race. But wha tthe militaristic thingy means I'm not sure about.

I think militaristic means that the other civ is militaristic and because of it they are more likely to attack you. Its not something you can affect, since some races are you militaristic by default and therefore harder to have good relations with.

That makes sense. I have gotten "- militaristic" and "-- your military strength" at the same time, when I didn't have a single ship w/ weapons. I have also gotten "we know what you're doing" when I neither built any weapons nor any influence starbases at all. I think the AI is delusional.
