Tech descriptions?

Okay, about 25 minutes into my first game. So far, loving it!

One thing I can't seem to figure out though. How do you see the description of tech (i.e. what effects it has) before researching it? Rather hard to figure out what to research next otherwise...

Just click it and the description appears in the upper right part of the screen.

My problem was that at some point early on, I had clicked the "More" button on the research screen. Doing so removes the upper portion where the decription are, so that you can use the full screen to evaluate the tech tree.

Is it just me, or are the tech descriptions when you've just completed a tech, well...kinda dumb?

Where the More button was, there should now be a Less button to return the screen to the previous configuration.

That's part of the game, it's humor. These types of tech descriptions were similar in GalCiv 1.
