Ok I'm sorry... I've been waiting months for tomorrow and I can't wait... I know it'll b a good 36-40 hours before I get my hands on the rest of the game files and I'm fit to bursting... Just wondering if any feels like they're gonna pop?

And by the way if your looking for a point to this thread, don't bother... This thread has about as many points as a circle.

I'm very eager to play too. It's a good thing that for the next 33 hours (counting down) I have so many things to do that I wouldn't have the time to play anyway. That will be different tomorrowevening right after release!

I can't blame you, but I've played the beta for GalCiv2 and I can tell you that you won't be disappointed. If you liked MoO2, you will SURELY like GalCiv2.

Actually I played MoO3 before MoO2... by some odd twist of fate. But I loved Galciv 1. I thought that it was on a pedistal slightly below that of MoO2. But the addition they're making... mostly in ship design... they might just get even or surpass that classic.

Its sad when it takes around 10 years to surpass a game. Can't wait for tommorrow, I get my new Vid card and Gal Civ II on the same day.

Since it sounds like you did the pre-download, did you know you can watch all the movies?

All you need in the Bink player, freely downloadable.

Most of them are the background variety, but the intro and a few campaign films are there. Might want to sort by size and play the biggest first!

Very high production values, I was defintely impressed!

What? And spoil all the fun? Why would you do such a thing?

Indeed. I watched the tutorials but I won't touch the movie files.

I disagree. I don't think it's sad... I think its grand. Its not really an insult to the current generation of games for their inability to surpass MoO2. More like MoO2 excellent ability to stay good for this long.

Besides they're tons of great games just none in my opinion that have gone passed MoO2. Looks like we'll find out just how good GC2 is tomorrow. But it'll depend on it's ability to keep us enthralled for years to come to see if it can compete with MoO2.

Without Hotseat play it won't compete in my mind. Computer play is boring, no matter how engaging and realistic it is. Playing this kind of game with a few friends over an evening (or more :P) is the biggest draw for me. Hopefully they will provide the multiplayer capability they shadily state "can be added at a later date" or whatever.

Well I have no friends... *sniffle, sniffle*. Well I do but none that are interested in this. I'm sure in a pinch I could find a favorable group to play with but if the AI is half as good as Stardock claims then I'll be alright.

Never been a big multiplayer person. I don't know anyone around my area who plays TBS games and random people quit once I'm beating them. I'll bet the majority of Civ IV players do not play it online, and Stardock shares my opinion. So instead of working to put in multiplayer, they made the game a more immersive experience.
