Dread Lords is finally beginning to look more like a game and less like a technological placeholder; we get our hands on the latest version to test it out.

Gamespot took a look at beta 3. Their conclusion is that it's looking like GalCiv II will be a good blend of GalCiv I and Master of Orion 2.

    If you´ll really accomplish this,
it may be the first step for your game company to become legendary
Tamsin (Lost Girl): "I am the Harbinger of Death. I arrive on winds of blessed air. Air that you no longer deserve."
Tamsin (Lost Girl): "He has fallen in battle and I must take him to the Einherjar in Valhalla"

Star Dock is already legendary for their fantastic support.

        O.K.,
        that´s right,
I don´t know another game company,
where you can take part in the betatesting process,
if you just order the game early enough

Of course, creating a good blend of GalCiv (where especially the Diplomacy and Franchising System was great) and MOO2 would get Stardock to even higher levels of legend

That sounds... awesome. I never tried GalCiv, but this game sounds (and looks) great.

I liked what I heard about planetary management. it sounds like a tile system similar to that used in Ascendancy. That will make planetary management interesting with choices to be made and always the potential to further develope a planet.

Master of Orion 2 with Ascendancy planetary management with all the goodies from GalCiv 1 plus more! I want it!
