  • Some Questions

    Hi all Galcivers!

There has been no activity here for a long time, but still I hope for response..

    My situation:
I have Galciv now, but it appears that it's the very first or at least very old version - it doesn't have those nice choices as setting some characteristics for your faction, it only has table and 10 points to spend where "speed" for example gives nothing..

I've read the manual and it appears that there the interface is quite different - I also don't have the "tight clusters - loose clusters" dialog..

So,what are the files I need named and where can I download them?

I tried downloading the 1.2 patch from galciv.com, but it asks for my serial - I have had this game for sooo long time that I don't even remember where did I put the CD cover, not talking about the serial..

Is there any chance for me to get the 1.2 update?
My game is licensed, just it was installed so long ago that I had even forgot about it (that I have it on my PC)

    waiting for response,
    binTravkin

You don´t find the Patch Outside of the Official Homepage,
so I doubt that you´ll find a way.

But btw. if you have lost your CD-Cover it probably doesn´t matter.
If your Edition isn´t different from mine, you will find the Serial Number on the Back of your Game Manual.

So if you know where you have stored your Manual, you also know where you´ll find the Serial Number

So not only the Download of the Patches,
but also the Patches themselves are directly linked to the Serial Number?

          Interesting thing to know.

          But don´t worry,
          Maybe you should try eBay.
They often have Auctions for GalCiv.

          For example ebay.com

          and eBay.de

Also the Game is old enough,
to often also appear in the stores for a much lower price if you just search hard enough (for example 15 Euro)
