  • Trade Goods

Simple question: When you trade a trade goods, you still have the benefit or you where dumb enought to trade all and keep none?

If you still have the benefit, can you multiple trade it? You alone to trade it? All can acquire from you?

I always try to get all races to trade me whatever trade goods they have, and give none of mine...should I change that?

You get to keep the benefit of those you build, but can also trade the benefit to others. You have exclusive distribution of it.

So if you trade it to a civ, they can't give it to their allies?

        Think of it like this:

You invent a new product - Ultra Spices. You then patent that product. Now nobody else is allowed to make Ultra Spices except you. However, for a fee, you will allow someone else to manufacture their own as long as they do not share it with anyone else.

For example, you trade Ultra Spices to the Arceans. They can now make their own and get the benefits but they are not allowed to trade it to anyone else - only you can trade it since you own the patent.
"Slander, lies, character assassination--these things are a threat to every single citizen everywhere in this country. And when even one American--who has done nothing wrong--is forced by fear to shut his mind and close his mouth, then all Americans are in peril" - Harry S. Truman, Address at the Dedication of the New Washington Headquarters of the American Legion, August 14, 1951

"They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety." - Benjamin Franklin, Historical Review of Pennsylvania, 1759

I never knew that. I could have bailed myself out of so many nasty situations if I wouldn't have been worried about enemy civs reaping the benefits of my minor civ trades.

****ed up copyrighters... They still think, that everybody should obey copyright and should not copy GalCiv. Even an example added inside the game.
