Ok first of all im new in this forum, ill have to say i love Galactic Civilizations except for it's graphic, they'd need to work on those event pictures. I really love the AI but above intelligent they seem to get a lot more income than me even (i tought the AI couldn't cheat) if i get 50% in economy and the rest in social production as my starting attributes, i know how to exploit the AI weaknesses but that doesn't really matter cause after the colonization rush they seem to have the advantage on me, i mean they always end up having a thousand more millitary units than me. I'd appreciate any help, thanks or not.

Allow me to give the generic answers to your questions and concerns, as far as I've been able to determine from my usual forum skulking.
First off, welcome to the forum.
The AI doesn't cheat. It just gets smart. Go find all the other threads that say the AI cheats, and read those.
The graphics are fine.
There is a strategy forum here with some great information and links to great sites. You should check it out.
Now, just a bit of near-random, yet still polite flaming (implied, since I'm a gentleman), and voila! Generic answers to a first post, done.

The AI always knows where the yellow stars are, no matter what intelligence level.
Also at the highest levels it does get an economic bonus. Not sure about the extra racial picks but a quick read on galciv.com will confirm.
All in all that isn't cheating. Just bonuses. You don't want high levels to be a cakewalk to ya?

If you are getting overwhelmed then I suggest you are playing above your difficulty level. Go down a notch.
Umh, the AI needs those bonuses at higher levels because your smarter than them. (The AI has a heap of "if then" statements instead of a mind).

On maso in 1.05, the ai gets 50% bonus to its econ, and probably to its PQ too. It had +30%Planet Quality in 1.04, which roughly means +30%everything.Clash of Civilization team member

A little bit of fiddling with the files can permit you to cheat to your hearts content.
Step 1. Go into the tech files and create a new tech with no prerequisites and mimimum research cost. Set AI value to "0" so the AI thinks the tech is not worth researching.
Step 2. Go into the wonders file and create a new wonder with your new tech as the prerequisite. Copy "The Terraformer" and change the planet quality values to 900. Change cost to minimum of 50.
Step 3. Start new game. Research new tech which should take about 4 turns. Spend 730BC to buy the new wonder. See Earth planet quality increase to about 620, other colonies increase to about 300.
Umh, if that is enough of a cheat then I have no idea what is enough. Umh, way to excessive I say.
