  • Mid April?

Maybe I'm remembering wrong, but wasn't there supposed to be a demo out by now? Didn't someone say mid april? Does anyone have any news?

Not sure but a demo will be a bugger as it will have to be very large.

Just buy the game. It's worth it. And if it isn't, well blame Skanky.

Ooooh, I stooped to the level of cheap cliches.

It can't be more than a couple 100 megabytes, no?

The whole game is only about 500MB, if I remember correctly, They took a poll, and most people thought that the size of the demo should be under 100MB, so they managed to trim it down to about 50MB according to a recent announcement.

These days, anything over 100mb seems standard to me. I'm not saying that's good, although I have a fast connection so I don't mind, but if the demo ended up being 100Mb, I surely wouldn't be surprised.

              Having said that...

I wonder what would make the demo be so big, since I always thought that the 100+ MB game demos are usually of games that have intense graphics, so they need the space for that.

I'm not a programmer, so I don't know if the AI or other things take up as much space, but given Galciv's modest graphics, a large demo seems weird.
While there might be a physics engine that applies to the jugs, I doubt that an entire engine was written specifically for the funbags. - Cyclotron - debating the pressing issue of boobies in games.

We've sent it into Strategy First for additional Quality Assurance. It's a tricky thing, getting a game down from 500 megs to 50 megs and still have it fully usable.
