...should be arriving at my door tomorrow. I've desperately been trying to avoid spoilers, so far mostly successfully.

    Anyone here playing it yet?

    55 € (~ 72 $) as Standard version or even 75 € (~ 100 $ )as Digital Deluxe Version ...
that makes it easy for me to wait 6 months or more till the game is much cheaper
(especially considering the fact that I have enough games at the moment to spend my rathr limited free time on)

Someday I've got to finish the first one.

I have no idea how far into it I am, maybe halfway? Maybe less? There are still five (I think) former squadmates who have yet to pop up, and given the massive stakes now involved, I expect some of my comrades to die, but did it have to be
        Spoiler:
Mordin? My absolute ****ing favorite? Things aren't looking too good for Thane either...

So far, this is pretty kick ass.

Heh, yes. There were less deaths than expected, and no suicide-mission like mission so far, but i've still some way to go by the looks of it. It might also depend on performance on the previous games though. I'll need to play with other characters though, but there's at least one choice that makes me think the differences are minor.

I've already filled the power bar, even at 50% readiness.

            Just finished it.

There is much internet butthurt about the ending, and I admit, the ending could be better. But it is not that bad. It was never going to end "well", either in happiness or in awesomeness compared to the rest of the games.

However, it was an affecting, exciting, very challenging game throughout--playing on Insanity was a ****ing nightmare at some points (ie, multiple Banshees bearing down on me, whilst being buffed by multiple Marauders, HOLY ****ING ****)--and I would not hesitate for a moment to recommend it for any and every gamer.

            It is implied that
            Spoiler:
your final squaddies die, so RIP Garrus and Tali, didn't seem right trying to end the game without you two. RIP Mordin, Thane, Legion, and Anderson, as well. And ****ing rot, Illusive Man, you piece of ****ing ****.

I heard the ending is all in your head.

Nice to see some people not going insane about the endings (unlike at social.bioware)

I'll admit the 1st time I finished the game the ending(s) pissed me off, but I am coming around to them.

The fact that every single other part of the game is 100% awesome doesn't hurt either

                @ Guy

                Spoiler:
what happens to your squad mates changes depending on the choice you make. In Destroy, both my squad mates are on the Normandy
Also, they aren't shown on the final run to the Citadel. Take that for what you will.

Just read the theory that Al eludes to, and given the ending I chose (let's call it the "red" ending), that actually makes a metric **** ton of sense. If true, that changes Bioware from "awesome series, just didn't stick the landing," to "awesome series, holy mother of god you beautiful bastards, that was ****ing amazing."

                  Spoiler:
I also picked Destroy; Tali and Garrus where with me, but Liara and Javik stepped off the Normandy with Joker.

Just for ****s and giggles, since I finished my paragoniest paragon game, I checked to see how some stuff changes if you play a renegade.

Holy ****, things get dark. God damn.

It was at that point that I started to accept the ending. I don't know if I could ever "like" it, but I can live with it. It may grow on me with time.

Really? What was your Battle Readiness Points total thingy?

                        I just finished it.

                        Spoiler:
Chose the middle ending. A bit of a discontinuity though: Liara got off the Normandy with Joker and EDI, but she was with me on Earth, so it seems kind of weird she managed to teleport into the Normandy.

Oh hell, I don't remember. The bar was full, and I think there were only two "fetch quests" left on my list.

@ Guy: Played any multiplayer? That affects the effectivness raiting (if you care enough to play mp, which is surpisingly good)

MP for me is awfully laggy (due to a crappy internet connection), so I had to make do with 50% readiness.
