  • Anyone still play World of Warcraft?

I always scoffed at people who play it and a tried the trial a few years back and didn't like it. However recently I got into it playing together with a few friends of mine and the time just blasted away.

I got the original and the burning crusade add on quite cheaply. I'll see where it goes from here...

Any case I'm just wondering if anyone still plays WoW. Also what is the funnest n00bish character to play at the low levels? I had a blast with a Dwarven Hunter and a Gnomish Warlock. Undead mage was a bit dull if reasonable fun. (played all of these during the trial)

Also where should a human level 20 paladin go to have the best time and see and do stuff?

I played for the last few years, and only just stopped playing at the end of July, though I am still paying for my account.

I have leveled 4 alts to level 80...Night Elf Druid, Human Priest, Draenei Paladin, Draenei Shaman, and a Dwarven Hunter to level 70 and enjoyed them all...at different times, different classes and races were more enjoyable then others, but i am not sure I could recommend one over another.

As for where to play at level 20, I would head for either Darkshore, Menthil Harbour Wetlands or Ashenvale, though you could also head for Southshore in the Hillsbrad Foothills, but it would require running through Arathi Highlands without dying...which would be a feat at level 20.

I too am wondering if anyone else at Apolyton still plays, or if they plan to start again, with the expansion due out December 7....it should be interesting, as it brings about a number of changes.

I think Jon Miller plays it.

Heraclitus, real talk, while I have never played it, I don't think you need World of Warcraft in your life. You are prone to obsessions as is. Don't do it.

I still love playing WoW. I have the Wrath of Lich King expansion, and I'm going to buy Cataclysm expansion when it comes out on Dec. 7.

So I've sinced leveled up to a 30 Warlock and got a rouge and druid alt up to my old lvl 19 paladin. The game is still fun

I'll get the Lich King a few months after Cataclysm comes out.

How drunk and nerdy does one need to be to think this is win?

The funny part is that the music and lyrics aren't much worse or pointless than actual real life bands.

I just reinstalled this. I hated it when I first got it a few years back, but it seems like they've improved a lot. Still, I've got serious ADD when it comes to video games, so I doubt I'll get much higher than the teens or 20s.

I'm playing it with the SO for the first time since it launched. We played the beta and pre-BC for many months, then lost interest. After Cataclysm, we're into it again. Really well designed game.

What's everyone's real ID stuff? PM me emails and whatnot.

I'm also playing for the first time since vanilla, well over 4 years ago. I'm on the 80-85 cataclysm content and really liking it so far, and playing through the BC and WOTLK stuff you can really see the evolution of the game. The quests are much better now, and I like the concept of complementing drops with 'currencies' you can spend. The flying mounts are great, and the attunement grinds are gone (and rep grinds much more enjoyable, with decent rewards). Above all the dungeons are shorter and more focused, which is great, and the implementation of (cross-server) looking for dungeon group is amazing.

With me spending a lot of this year on Starcraft 2 as well, and Diablo 3 coming out next year, it's almost as though Blizzard is leading a single handed PC game revival.
