I've played both, FIFA is the better game overall.
PES feels wooden and slow. FIFA has some issues but it feels better to play. The new PES and FIFA will be out Octoberish so you should be able to pick them both up dirt cheap now.

Well, I ended up buying both on PS3, will get a feel and see how I like.
Then will go with the new one in October.

I was told, and will find out when I play possibly tommorrow, if this one has the world teams plus all the leagues

As the name suggests, it does not contain all the domestic leagues like FIFA10. But it's a great game anyway, better than FIFA10 for gameplay actually.
