I didn't get it because the gameplay sounded very dull. But lots of reviews noted the potential within the game - so I'll be keeping an eye on the sequel, which is shortly being released.Comment

GT, I think you are seeing commercials for the sequel (at least I did this Sunday while watching football).

Assassin's Creed 2 is looking great. IGN gave it 9.2, it's 91 on metacritic currently: http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/104/1045745p1.html
IGN's editor in chief claims to be obsessed with AC2 and hasn't even played CoD:MW2 much as a result. May have GOTY impact

The reviews up today for AC2 look good. The games are really coming through for Christmas after what has been a pretty poor year overall.Comment

GT, have you considered getting a mouse with fiftybillion buttons on it? When I played World of Warcraft I played with someone who had one arm, lost the other in Iraq, he didn't have any trouble playing. I can't think of many single player games that require more buttons than WoW.
There are also programs you can download that will allow you to map functions to other buttons so you could, for example, bind movement to a joystick axis rather than having it stuck to the w, a, s and d keys.
A quick google search for a disabled gaming community lead me to this site;
AbleGamers.com is a site that is dedicated to the disabled gamer, causal or hardcore. We are here to offer a safe place for any gamer with any disability to explore, to find news on games that has the disabled gamer in mind, and to meet others, and solve issues as a team, and a family.
They have a forum, it doesn't look too active, but you may be able to find people there who would be able to help you set something up that will enable you to play all the awful games like Assassins Creed.

Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot said that the pre-order sale of AC II has
exceeded the original title up to 80 %...and hopes that they could sell at least
15 % more than the original title...
Upon hearing that there is a sequel to the first installment of the Assassin's
Creed aside from the Assassin's Creed: Bloodlines, I already planned on having
it for my console...
