Stumbled over this as well, yesterday or so. Tropico is still worth a go from time to time (esp. in summer-time, when the music fits, sipping a rum or whatnot...) - i mean a game that has an expansion called ´mucho macho´ must be good, or what?!

The first game was ok, definately worth playing but not quite becoming a classic, the expansion Paradise Island was decent also.

I'd play them the same time as Port Royale 2, mixing the gaming sessions up - it got you right in the mood for summer or a sunny vacation

I'm with Frosty on the graphics direction which will probably mean i pass this time, unless the reviews and more importantly player feedback are good.

Played through the tutorial and it seems to be like Tropico 1, except with roads that is easy to build (in non linear ways), cars and houses that can be turned in different angles

Oh and you can now run around the city and hold speaches... I'm sure that I wont like that part

Preliminary thoughts: Feels just like old times, but with modern graphics. Can't ask for much more than that. I'll fiddle with it more tomorrow.

I am very likely to buy this when it is released. The graphics are great, the music sets the right tone, and it is as fun as it was back in the day.

Even with a lack of several major features in the demo, this game looks to be absolutely terrific.

I still play Tropico 1 a good deal (skipped #2), so I'm hopeful this will turn out well. I'm going to play with this demo next, now that I'm done with the CitiesXL demo.

Got the full game and likes it... now I'm just waiting for the game to be sold, so I can buy it




Haven't finished a game yet, still only halfway through the first game
I guess next game I need to make it a bit harder though. This game on normal difficulty is easier than Tropico 1 on same difficulty as can be seen from attached image (Everybody loves me)
