1: BetterSpore (Current Version v1.1)

-Difficulty tweaking to make more of a difference between the different levels, overall hard level is harder then before, while easy is easier.
-Overhaul of spice in spore, making it cheaper and slower to get, also making it more expensive to get trade routes, basically it is now worth the time to do missions and get artifacts.
-All mission now give you twice as much money
-NEW FEATURE - Empires which don't like you as much give you less money for missions, while close friends give you more!
-Cost to give gifts to empires has doubled
-More buildings on T1 and T2 planets
-FEATURE - disasters less often, less attacks by pirates, and invasions by enimies. Buildings to counter these are more effective
-Getting a collection of artifacts is now worth much more, with the possibility to get over 12 million sporebucks!
-Pirate ship health increase.
-Increased money dropped from destroyed ships
-Shorter colony recharge time
-ALL SCULPTOR TOOLS WITH 1 SECOND RECHARGE!
-Longer creature stage
-The effort on movement in the center of the galaxy has been decreased

-By default, you have a 20% chance of destroying a colony instead of capturing, and a 100% chance of destroying an outpost (T0 Planet) on capture. This mod reduces that.
-Comes in 3 versions. 100% chance of capture, 95% chance of capture, and 80% chance of capture (You also have an 80% chance of destroying a colony, making this version equal.)

16: No Galactic Center Limit

18: Friendly Grox Mod

-Removes almost all the specific settings for the Grox relationships, making them just like the other Empires. Only three things are kept; they never surrender, they aren't angry if you break the Galactic Code.
-This mod is not particularly recommended as it removes the challenge of getting to the center of the galaxy, but Spore is a sandbox at heart, even with notable linearity tacked onto it.
-Other races will still get angry at you for allying with the Grox. This can be avoided by using the above fix package or Easy Going Empires.

This mod removes the negative effects from Allying with the Grox and from committing an atrocity, i.e. breaking the Galactic Code.
-This mod conflicts with Certain Capture and the Free Love Happy Ray. A Certain Capture compatibility patch provided, and the Free Love Happy Ray thread has an Easy Going Empires compatible version.

well i was interested and this seems to be the thread where to go to get the overview on modding spore:

problem is it takes a very long time to load up pages, so i would guess that 'sporedum' is a fan-site? rather than an official EA thing. No problems with that myself, but it does make me wonder just how moddable spore is. I haven't been able to get to many(all so far!) of the pages giving the most details on this subject, the page times out etc.

I know from CTP2 before the source code release, we could change quite a few things, certainly improve on the base game, and the source code release gave access to everything(while opening pandora's box so to speak - 2 million+ lines of non commeted C++!!!!!!).

Anyway i'm a little sceptical that you can mod Spore into the game it should have been, we're talking EA here, and specificaly with a game they helped emasculate!

Please come back and tell me i'm a cynical fool, and say where the modding prospects are for Spore, what can you achieve? as your site is a bit clunky to navigate currently

Well all we really have is XML, but we can still do quite a bit with that, mods have come a very long way in the last month, and i'm about to post a thread about our new parts for spore.
