  • When I click exit I mean exit!

Bit of a moan here. I'm currently playing the PC version of Assassin's Creed. The game is fine but it takes 11, yes eleven, button presses and mouse clicks to get from being in the Holy Land to the game actually closing down.

Is this some kind of record? Can anyone think of another game that involves such a performance to turn the thing off?

it's the reason I stopped playing. I was too afraid to start the game up because of how frustrating it is to close.

            Interface very very very important.

I QFMFT myself on that one.

ALT+F4 does work, and it was my preferred method of exiting Assassin's Creed when I was playing it. The built in process was ridiculous. I get frustrated enough when I have to confirm my pressing an Exit Game button.

Thanks for the advice. I have finished the game and enjoyed it but I won't be in a hurry to play again anytime soon.

I forgot about pulling the plug out of the power socket in the wall - that would have exited the game quickly.

In this respect, PI games are exemplary. There, you have one button to get back to the main menu("resign") and one which send you back to the desktop("quit").
