Spore: Patch 3 & Creepy & Cute!

Recently over at Spore.com the team from Maxis has announced Patch 3 for Spore.

Maxis wants to thank you by giving you some free parts in the Creature Creator. We've created 24 new exoskeleton limbs! You can combine them with parts from Creepy & Cute Parts Pack to create new, awesome creatures.

The team has also released the first parts pack for the award winning game, Spore: Creepy & Cute!

With more than 100 new cute and creepy items at your disposal, you have even more power and flexibility to build the perfect creature. Create grotesque creatures with villainous mouths, tuberous eyes, and thorned plates, or go cuddly with big batting eyelashes, cute paws, and adorable details. You can mix and match 60 new parts in all for truly unique looks. Then apply one of 48 new paint styles, and bring it all to life with 24 new animations. And don't forget to publish your new cute and creepy creatures to share them with the world!

Further, a Space based expansion pack is due for release sometime in the early new year. Stay tuned for more Spore action!

Thanx for the update, Dale. My kids are still playing this game, so they'll probably appreciate the extra pieces/ parts.

From what's being said at spore.com forums, the space expansion will include new missions, new spaceship parts and what sounds the best, the ability to "beam down to a planet's surface" and have your creature interact with the planet's creatures.

Oh, I got the C&C pack (for the wife who still plays) and it's actually got some cool parts in it. I loath EA for the price of the parts pack ($30 in Oz) but the parts and paint jobs are good. I made a red dragon last night that looks really cool!
