  • Crash, and no autosave

I’ve long since become Omnipotent and am cruising along the galaxy trying to find my way to the Center. I use my fast transit system to scoot home to deal with a natural disaster, and then BAM – the game crashes completely and I’m ejected to my desktop.

All my progress since my last save is lost, of course. And it looks like there is no autosave setting (or at least I couldn’t find it).

Is this game unstable? Do I need to set a timer to train myself to manually save? And why doesn’t a spiffy-do game like Spore have a bloody autosave setting?

    Hmph.

Happened to me a couple of times, once after a session playing all the way from creature to space.

      Another crash.

I REALLY wish the game had an autosave, especially when I get involved and neglect to do a manual save.

Is no autosave common in (quasi) real time games?
