    • I'll look at my last orders again when I have a change, sorry don't have time to do orders right now, maybe tonight or in the morning. I have been quite busy here working 12-14 hours a day.

      • I checked my orders, I did give build orders for thirteen cities.

        I've sent my orders.

        • Ah, that explains the map then. I'll see what I can do about processing the orders in the next day or two.

          • Yeah, the map is right, but you probably missed the leftmost two cities on your count. I hope they were in the calc though?

Note If MJW had sneak attacked instead of revolting to republic, and had taken even one wonder from Spaced, then MJW likely would have won.
Also Note on the Map below and the chart, MJW has significantly less cities than he really does... I would fix it, but the game appears to be over. MJW has somewhere around 35 cities at least.

As it is, well played Spaced Cowboy!

                And thanks all for playing

                • Also of note; on the army levies for Hercules and Spaced Cowboy... I don't understand why even though both are republics, Spaced's levy is significantly less? I'll have to double-check that on the next edition of the game.

Also of note: Hercules additionally had about 100 extra armies slated to be built, I neglected to spend that extra cash after I realized Spaced had won.

                  • Shouldn't you have to hold on to all of the wonder cities for an entire turn before you can win?
You just wasted six ... no, seven ... seconds of your life reading this sentence.

                    • 1. He could have used it against the horse last turn. This means its not useless.

I think the "win-built" pharse means it only works only during the wonder building pharse (I think).

I talked about this in the thread for a long time giving you time to correct me.

                      2. You forgot about the NRA. (But my nuking idea would have worked).

Basically, he did. The rule is "Build and Hold."

                            Feasibly, this could have happened.

Wonder construction happens before war- therefore if he BUILT 7 wonders and then MJW seized one city, he would not have "held" the wonder.

Well, he built it last turn, so he couldn't use it until the beginning of this turn? You can never use a wonder on the turn that it is built.

I think the "win-built" pharse means it only works only during the wonder building pharse (I think).

I didn't realize you were asking about that...
Still, I don't see how the wonder could be useful unless it was allowed to act FIRST on the next turn? All wonders seem to act whenever the phase they affect is used. Thus, if this wonder is negating the Trojan Horse- it should act when the trojan horse acts (the espionage phase). If it negated the silk road, it would act during the (trade phase). If it negated mafia, it would act in the (tax phase).

                            I think that makes sense.

I thought that the words "when built" overides the one turn waiting period and spaced "spaced-out". But if the words "when built" mean nothing (and you can negate a wonder in general) then your idea makes sense...

In fact I would think KGB would be active at the beganing of the next turn right away even before spying otherwise KGB would be two turns slow.

If no one else supports my viewpoint within 48 hours from this post then I will admit that Spaced Cowboy won. Unclear rules made me make a bad move but I still made it -- just like Whoha.

...I was really hoping we had all the glitches cleared up. It amazes me how we ran this game back in the day with so much up in the air.:

                                * If Trading is sabotaged, you don't lose the costs for trading- trading simply never happened.

                                * KGB is activated the next turn after being built immediately before the operation of the wonder which it is supposed to terminate.
