Here's a video from 2005 (most of you has probably seen it, but might have forgotten the details)

A lot has changed since the beginning, unfortunately not always to the better IMHO.
The editor in the cell phase looks a bit more advanced (look at the skeleton)
There's a phase between cell and creature phase (which we are probably going to see in the expansion pack "Underwater world"
On land you see other creatures all over the place (now they are only running around very close to their nest)
When you kill a creature blood is spilled. When you eat a creature the dead body shakes realistically. You can even drag the dead body to a different location (leaving a blood trail)
In the tribe phase you can chose where to set the buildings/fireplace/whatever (unlike the 6 slots you have now)
In the city phase the city was not a 100% circle and the city layout looked more realistic

    Just to name a few...

Kinda sad, that video looks to have more potential than the current game
This space is empty... or is it?

Really easy to break a game with that much freedom... My guess is that a lot of those neat things would cause massive slowdowns on all the Walmart shoppers' cheapo PCs
First Master, Banan-Abbot of the Nana-stary, and Arch-Nan of the Order of the Sacred Banana.
Marathon, the reason my friends and I have been playing the same hotseat game since 2006...
