Has anyone else checked out the demo (or the full game) for Braid, on the 360?

I played the demo last night and it really blew me away. Not so much the gameplay, although it does have some interesting platformer puzzles, but more so the presentation. The graphics are like a nifty watercolor painting.

It looks like it's getting pretty good reviews and, judging from the leaderboards, lots of gameplay. I think I'll go ahead and buy the full version, even though I rarely complete platform games, but I think devs that take a risk and try to do something different should be rewarded in the marketplace - if there product is any good.

No 360, so i'll wait until the PC version is made (eventually, supposedly).

fun game. probably not worth the 1200 pts or whatever for me, but nonetheless a good puzzler. like the homage.

good couple weeks for the xbla.- bionic commando rearmed.

target has 1600 pts cards $5 off this week, I picked up a couple.

As I said in the other thread, the demo was really interesting, but the game is really short by all accounts and I'll probably wait until it's available for 800 points (which given current success will be a while).

This game is brilliant. Portal was short too, but easily worth the price of the Orange Box all on its own.

            The wait for Portal 2...
The cake is NOT a lie. It's so delicious and moist.

Yeah, I like games with attention to detail. Braid was well done, but I only saw a few minutes of it.

I'm very ambivalent about Portal 2. It's going to be very hard to come close to the quality of Portal, esp. if they do an actual sequel.

I disagree. I see a lot of room for improvement in Portal -- mainly something to supplement the overly simplistic premise. I'd like to see it implemented in a real game, not a puzzle tech demo.

I'm not even joking. I was bored to death. Didn't even finish it.

I thought the Portal main game was excellent but they could do more to give the game a bit more legs.

They tried to do it with the minimum step/portal etc but it was the weakest part by far. The challenge levels in contrast I really liked.

The main problem with a sequel is actually that the novelty of the gameplay and the humour of the main game were the two reasons the game was a success. These are going to be hard to recapture.

Then your opinion on games obviously isn't worth much.

I was playing games even before you programmed your first branch in x86.
