Anyone play this game any more? I've recently picked it up again and installed the CORE mod, which seems to add a lot of depth to the game. The only problem is that I can't get past April 1937 as the US without the damn thing crashing. It seems to happen around the 10th or so and usually with ahistorical DoWs. The last crash happened shortly after the UK DoWed the USSR. Anyone else have this happen repeatedly? Should I just give up?

Regular HoI2 or DD or ARM? What version of CORE? CORE is in beta still AFAIK, but my experience, with all PI games, is that both devs and modders are very helpful at solving such things if you ask over at their respective forums.Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God.-Isaiah 41:10

Here's for hoping. I might remember wrong, but I think CORE 0.4 is in for testing now, so if everything else fails, it's a safe guess the problem is solved in 0.3 or 0.4.Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God.-Isaiah 41:10

A lacklustre attempt of simply converting the Events of the old Core to a new game.
IMO there are far better Mods out there.
(TRP, Mod 34, WiF, HiP..)
Regarding your Problem it seems your AI is not properly installed.
So you think some of the other mods are better? Care to sell me on them? I do like the way they modded the tech tree in CORE, but I would be willing to try some of the other ones out.

I tried some of the others, particularly NFM and TRP. All overdone by far. Started well and added too much unnecessary and simply wrong and unbalanced details. Thus, I am back to vanilla Doomsday (don't play at the moment, though), and introduce house rules to make it bit of a challenge.
