But it's nearly 1944 and they still haven't attacked? They actually like my Germans...

I don't know yet if I abandon it or not, perhaps I find a way to save it.

Russia is defeated, my divisions reached Leningrad, Moscow and Stalingrad, Baku is next and Japan owns Vladivostok - enough for the peace event to trigger. When that happens, I will have about 600 IC, can outproduce anyone, and the only country that could endanger me (USA) is on another continent. I am much in the lead victory point wise (me 622, allies 191, SU 144 and their cities aren't even in yet) and don't have war in the east, so I could easily fend off a landing attempt even of a human player, not to talk about the AI who is horrible at that. So, technically I already won.

But truth to be told, such bugs tick me off. If they all had declared war on me, I would not have a problem because I deserve it. But they declare war on the allies, i.e. my enemies, which means they don't go after me that much anymore, but after various other countries. I could just lean back and let them slug it out, which is not what I want.

I have raid days again until Wednesday, and will decide later what I do with the game. Perhaps I find a save not too far back where the world is still in order. But if that would mean to repeat Trident, I frankly can't be bothered with it.

More like a NAG pact, but yes, somewhat.

Ah, Harovan- I understand the situation then- there doesn't seem to be much point in playing more at that point. Congratulations.

I'll try to post some screenies tonight.

I'm in the process of slicing and dicing Spain. Russia is still pounding Germany which is down to 10-12 provinces.

I loaded as Germany to see what the problem was, and I'm not sure what is going on there, they seem to have a massive amount of troops still, but the build queue is all FU.

After Spain is done, and Russia finishes off Germany, I'll be out of war, and back to a higher demand for goods.

At this point I'm not sure what to do next. I'm not sure what is going to happen between the Allies and Russia or Japan (or me for that instance).

If I can trust the numbers, Russia and Japan are more than +50 with me, while France and England are both more than -150.

Russia will not offer me a NAP though, I'll be very curious to see what they do when the war with Germany is over.

I would really have to reload from Sealion/Spain/Yugoslavia, the Januar '41 save is already corrupted.

I don't have time for this during the week, but I may replay it at weekend. I really don't like how it played out, it is also the reason that I had to attack Turkey in order to not lose the right of passage, which doesn't feel right.

I got an email today from the German Paradox site with the information, that on the Games Convention "Project Mayhem", i.e. HoI3 was announced for the 3rd quarter 2009. It will be based on the EU3 3D engine. 10000 provinces, a huge world. Did anyone hear more details about this?

Yeah, it's got it's own forum on PIF(of course) and the devs have taken time to answer some questions in various threads today. Plus I've made a thread on it here. Not much is known yet though.

I finished off Spain last night and then saved the game. I played a few days after the and declared on Austria, no one seemed to care, but only let two days go by before quitting out.

I guess that is next on the agenda, plus whatever of southern Germany I can grab. It is Jan 39, and most of my army is still in Spain.

I replayed the game from the Sealion/Spain/Yugoslavia until mid-April '41. A month more and I'll be ready for Barbarossa again.

I didn't lose a single ship this time, not even a screen, when doing Sealion. I had only one naval battle, sunk three ships, and that was it. Where the Royal Navy escaped to, I don't know. I'm sure I'll find it some day at some coast far off and out of supplies. Happened to me several times.

The other operations went similarly as described, except the belligerence bug did not happen and I don't have Turkey. Which is good.

Romania decided to go the democratic way this time and won't go into the axis. I don't intend to conquer it, at least not yet. Of course I miss it as base for the attack, but I'm sure I can do without. Kind of nice to have my main oil supplier not involved into the war.

Okay took out Austria, but by the time I got to Germany France and russia swallowed it whole. Russia puppeted Poland, and now I'm in build some carriers mode.

I'm not doing anything to piss off the allies until I get those carriers built in mid to late '41 (3 level 3's roll off the assembly line).

I tried two alternatives that I had to back track on.
                        1. Invade Brazil, stymied by the US, did not think they'd be a problem until one MFin carrier sank my whole fleet off the coast of Africa.
                        2. Dow the Czechs, got dowed by the allied in return, not ready to face the allies with no carriers and no troops in Africa (all my army was on the Czech border.

So mabye I can dow Czech when my beligerence drops a bit and I butter up the allies.

But I got so tired of the weak tech teams that I started a game as Germany. I don't think I've even played a game as Germany on Doomsday.
