I don't own it so no details, but the boss fights and puzzles looked quite fun from what I could see.

Those are good choices. Only two I haven't tried is Drone Tactics (yet) and I'm not into FF games.

You might want to check out the Age of Empires TBS too, no Advance Wars, but it's not bad either.

There's also a Daisenryaku (famous TBS series like Panzer General) game out only in Japan, I can't be bothered to learn the menus so I'm waiting/hoping for an English version.

Thank you. I got one. I did not see AoE, but I will try other places. I also got the Star Wars saga for the heck of it.

I also did not see Front Mission or Drone Tactics. I have a few more days to get them.

that SW game is pretty meh....

Advanced Wars also went from ridiculous easy to kinda difficult.

AW maps in general tend to hinge on doing/building one or two things, if you spot it early enough then the whole map swings around to an easy S-rank win. If not then you get drawn into a fight and end up having to build a bunch of units that ruins your rank.

If it's Days of Ruin you could use the War Room tips if you're really desperate. If it's Dual Strike you can yield and it'll give you tips on the map.
