Personally I found the PC version of Fable to be practically unplayable. It's not an FPS, it's more like Zelda, and the scope of the controls felt much better in a gamepad. To each their own.Originally posted by FrostyBoy
PC version or it doesn't matter.
20-30 times bigger? Too bad for Peter, we already know all about his lies. I'm guessing it'll be 2-3 times bigger at best, and only that because the original was short.John Brown did nothing wrong.

That's bull****. Like your first bike had training wheels, console games have auto-lock.
The mouse is handsdown the most superior controlling device. It has per-pixel precision, nicely suited for humans - perfect for those tense shooting games and whatever else you need.
Think about it, if console controllers were really that much better, I would be using them to do my artwork as well. But I don't, I would rather use my mouse or a tablet pen - in fact, speaking about the tablet pen, I have played a number of games just using the pen and I am surprised to find that it is actually very good for gaming too, but not comfortable for long periods.be free

This doesn't make sense at all actually if you understand house mice, digital or otherwise, work. They're not 1:1 pixel maps (per-pixel precision), they're movement-based.
What kind of idiot draws pictures with the mouse??Think about it, if console controllers were really that much better, I would be using them to do my artwork as well.

Skilled people Asher, skilled people. I can use both mouse and tablet. For specific kind of works I will have to use the tablet pen, but most jobs, the mouse does the job fine.
When I say per-pixel precision (I just made up that word to describe what I am saying, I don't know if it's an actual technical term used out there) I mean to say that I can move my cursor one pixel at a time if I want to.be free

Nope, retards do is your answer. Retards. You most likely use the mouse to activate tools and features (line tool, curve, etc). This is not an exclusive feature of the mouse.Originally posted by FrostyBoy

Yes, I realize you are bull****ting. When I say per-pixel precision (I just made up that word to describe what I am saying, I don't know if it's an actual technical term used out there)
You can do this with a trackball or joystick as well.I mean to say that I can move my cursor one pixel at a time if I want to.
I understand you prefer the mouse. But you are simply talking ****. The mouse has some advantages over the joystick in terms of precision in one dimension. I'm not sure if you know this, but the 360/PS3 have dual analog sticks which actually provide analog movement across two different axes.
Believe me, you are not the only person here who has used a mouse. I can probably safely say I've used far more gamepads than you for far longer, and I've also VERY extensively used a mouse (as well as other methods such as trackpads, trackpoints, and trackballs).
You can continue making yourself look like an idiot by pretending that "keyboard + mouse" is the best way to play games, but just know you're talking out of your ass as usual. Different controllers open themselves up to different styles of gameplay and game situations. I much prefer games like Fable / Fable 2 on the gamepad. Ditto for games like NHL/Madden/FIFA. The keyboard/mouse is not always better, don't pretend like it is.
You are very obviously a very desperate and very pathetic PC-only gamer that is seeing the game market flee to game consoles and you're in some kind of bizarre, reality-distorting damage control mode...you need to knock it off, it's starting to really piss me off."The issue is there are still many people out there that use religion as a crutch for bigotry and hate. Like Ben."

Your sentence sounds retarded. Why would anyone use the tablet pen and mouse at the same time? Did you even think properly beore you typed that?Originally posted by Asher

I would love to see a deathmatch or speedmatch - a good PC player Vs a good XBox Player. I would bet all my money on the PC player.

We've had this argument FOR YEARS. What is your major malfunction?I would love to see a deathmatch or speedmatch - a good PC player Vs a good XBox Player. I would bet all my money on the PC player.

For FPS games, the mouse is going to be the more precise instrument. But games aren't about precision, they are about FUN.
How about this competition: Let's compare the sales of Call of Duty 4 on consoles to Call of Duty 4 on PC. Or Halo 3 on Xbox 360 versus Crysis on PC. People choose the consoles now for FPS games, so much so that Crytek has been forced to make console games.
It turns out most people prefer playing these in the living room, on the big screen, sitting on the couch. They prefer the laid-back casual aspect of a gamepad than the hunched-over keyboard+mouse FPS.
I've played FPS games since Wolfenstein 3D in '92 so I don't need you to lecture me on the use of mouse + keyboard in computer games."The issue is there are still many people out there that use religion as a crutch for bigotry and hate. Like Ben."

Many people use a tablet pen and a mouse (not literally simultaneously, but in the same session). A lot of people can't get used to using the pen for mouse-like actions, so use either their original mouse, or the mouse that typically comes with better tablets (like the graphire) that uses the tablet pen technology.<Reverend> IRC is just multiplayer notepad.

Except Fable isn't an FPS. Like I said, it's more like Zelda. So if it has auto-lock, it's not such a bad thing, because it's not a game about aiming. It's a more of an action RPG.Originally posted by FrostyBoy

So I understand where you're coming from - what consoles have you used most extensively? What games did you play on those consoles? It makes no sense for me to compare something to Zelda if you've never played it before.John Brown did nothing wrong.

So what are you trying to prove? That the majority of game players are intelligent enough to make an informed decision and choose a console over a PC?Originally posted by Asher

You and your bull**** statistics, you think they really tell you anymore than just the sales? Just because the sales were high doesn't mean the game is actually good. Lot's of people like really ****ty movies, coz they are ****ty themselves. Clockwork Orange is on par with say Half Life in the gaming industry, lots of people love it and play it, but do you really think the majority of game players out there know that too? And what machine are the majority of game players playing with now? Yeah, exactly. So your numbers mean **** to me.
I'm not lecturing you, I'm reminding you.
Felch, I never played Zelda, it looks like a kids game nowadays. I probably would have enjoyed it as much as the rest of you, but I took the Atari > Amiga > PC route.be free
