  • Oh, I now have Smash Bros, Zelda, and No More Heroes.

No More Heroes is excellent. You save the game by sitting on a toilet and taking a dump.

      • Also the main NPC's name is "Silvia Cristel", which is inherently awesome all on its own.

(This coming from somebody who smuggled a copy of Emmanuelle into China when she was 14 for her father to watch.)

          • I've pretty much decided not to get a Wii. There are a few games I want to play on it but I've just got too many games on the 360 and to a lesser extent the PC to play.

I love the paint brush thing, it's quite wonderful as a design(although I have heard on the Wii it can be more difficult to control?), and the overall graphical style is very unique, and all the beautiful feeding animal sections........a really gorgous game - shame it wasn't a smash hit for the devs(they are now doing the ultra violent 'Mad world', maybe in despair that their more gentle Okami didn't get the success it deserved?).

Tell me if you manage to get past the guy with the flute you have to fight in a boss battle type thing. He kicks my arse everytime!!

              • Yes, the first bit in the game where you're learning to use the paintbrush to cut a rock in half is quite difficult. There is very little room for error. I am almost exactly replicating the same mark on the screen as the tutorial paintbrush wants, and the game is not recognizing it.

                • wow.......and that is one of the easiest moves to do!!!!

I'm not sure if you can use a normal control pad on the Wii(as opposed to the move-it-around one), but on the PS2 the thumbstick works very well as your paint brush, tricky, but not impossible(as it is sounding for you!). You haven't met the flute guy yet then. Have you fed some of the animals yet? I love that cut scene

The only reason i didnt get a Wii was because i had been spoilt by the gamecubes ability to play GBA games as well, so until the Wii can play DS games(which it wont!) it feels like a step back for me somehow. I'm not a console player really either.

                  • Oh apparently if you hold a button, it forces the brush to do a straight line.

                    This will help a lot.

                    • Brought Wii to my boyfriend's family's house for Xmas. Also brought a shoulder bag with all the Rock Band equipment in it.

Boyfriend's family had never played Rock Band. We had about five separate nuclear families all rocking out to the game, by the end of the night. It was epic.

                        • Well the shoulder bag only had to carry three light plastic instruments.

I'll tell you, when they made us go do the CCF (Combined Cadet Forces) training when I was in high school in Britain, they made us girls carry way more than that. I forget how big the rucksacks were exactly - I think one was 33-gallon for gals and the other was 39 gallons for blokes. It wasn't any fun carrying that truckload of gear, I can tell you

The punishments were unisex too. So when the last row were marching too slowly, they made all four of them - one girl and three guys - do pushups with the full parade kit on their shoulders. The girl could only get to 15 pushups before collapsing, but she nonetheless managed to outdo one of the boys, who could only do 5.

                            • I know that's what I look for in a game.

                              • In Rock Band, I hold the guitar with my fingers over the Red, Yellow, Blue, and Orange keys. Only occasionally I'll extend my index finger down to the Green key. Sometimes I have to hit Green and Red, and I use my index finger to mash both of those at the same time.

I find it better to keep my hand more or less still. I used to move my entire hand, from Green Red Yellow Blue to Red Yellow Blue Orange, but that would inevitably confuse me about which finger was over which key.

I'm also trying to learn how to do the game lefty mode.
