I have a Wii now. I'm on my way to get Rock Band.
Eh?
The Rock Band guitar is the worst of all guitar games'.

Top Spin 3 (Wii) - got it yesterday, played it a bit. It's fun, but pretty hard - definitely not in the same market as Wii Tennis (no surprise here). Pretty hard, in that I haven't won a set yet... but not nearly as hard as MLB2K8, so I'm sure i'll do okay. I'm not super happy with the controls (back+low to forward+high for top spin, back+high to forward+low for a drop shot, etc. ... sounds like a button to me) but it is still reasonably playable.

It's physically more difficult to play, in that it's not just wait for the ball to come to you and then time a hit at it, but you have to move to where the ball is going to be (in 2 dimensions), and then set up for your shot (backswing, must be done somewhat prior to the ball getting there), and then swing as close to at the right time as possible to get the most power on the shot.
It definitely is a game that will take some time to pick up (to get the timing and such right), as opposed to Wii Sports Tennis which is nearly right away.

It's pretty simple and precise to play on the 360.

Oh, i'm fairly sure it's identical in terms of play there ... that's the point, it's not an 'easy to play' Wii game, but rather a game for people who want a challenging game.
It got mediocre reviews based on the above - ie, people WANT an easy to play Wii game (myself included, though i'm happy with both); based on some missing people (like Nadal - licensing issues?); and based on the fact that they didn't take as full advantage of the Wiimote as they should have. You can still hit a forehand swing and end up hitting a backhand.

It should come as no surprise, but the Wii isn't really capable of handling Rock Band and the Wii version is by far the worst of the bunch: http://wii.ign.com/articles/883/883962p1.html
I dont suppose many of the folk who own a 360 and Wii will buy Rock Band for the Wii. Based on the review, though, it doesnt seem like a bad pick up for someone who owns a Wii but not Rock Band.

I don't know how many years or how many games it'll take for people to realize it's not necessarily 100% of the games' fault for "not taking advantange of the Wii mote". The Wiimote is far less precise and useful than you think, which is precisely why the games don't "take advantage of it". You think the Top Spin 3 devs didn't want to have awesome motion control for the game? I'm sure they did, it's just impossible with a twitchfest of a remote.

IIUC Lucasarts is making a lightsaber game for the Wii, right? Will be interesting to see how well they take advantage of the Wiimote.

Yes, they've traditionally had a very close working relationship with Nintendo. The Wiimote seems like something they'd really want to incorporate into their games.
Okay, how is the Zelda game for the Wii? I have played the SNES and NES Zeldas and loved them. I hated the N64 Zelda because the puzzles were very counterintuitive, although the sequel (Labia Majora's Mask) was decent. I also played the Wind Waker and did not like that - I didn't have a problem with cartoony graphics but I just didn't find the gameplay that compelling.
