Will I like Civ Rev? It's on the DS so I might add it to my collection if it's not crap.
CivRev is like CivI simplified. It's actually worthwhile for the DS, if you want a game like that in a handheld. For the home consoles, it's kind of silly, since you might as well play real Civ.
      John Brown did nothing wrong.

Okay, a game for me to avoid then. I'm still playing a load of RONTAP and it's awesome.

The best DS game for me is still picross, I've now almost completed the puzzles, for the third time.
We're sorry, the voices in my head are not available at this time. Please try back again soon.

Several OG posters are still playing those games for the first time around.

Even though i'm 'down' on current gen console gaming...mostly.....I've had mixed results with these kind of retro packs. I have capcoms classics collection, midway arcade treasures and taito legends on xbox, and well 80% of the games just dont feel quite right to me. It's probably due to the controller, but i suspect also the actual conversions sometimes.

I fired up my old atari800 and my old sega master system the other day, to try out some of the games and the original versions are much better. Still it is fun to play these old games, even if the conversions are not 100%, and it's certainly easier than waiting for a 15min tape load on an atari home computer!

oh and the versions of the old console games you can find in animal crossing(GC and others i guess?) are probably the best conversions of classic 80's games i've seen so far.

I'm still trying to not buy a DS - it might be my last bit of console hardware for a long time(due to my views etc), so that is making me think 'what the heck'. Maybe.

Actually these are new games just made to look like they were released on the NES in the 80's.

The challenges are pretty easy, the best part is gradually finding out more about each game, either by completing the challenges, or unlocking 80's-style games magazines to give you tips.

I thought they were just mini-games but after unlocking a few for free play it seems they're all full games

Brain Age 2 is pretty good fun. The voice recognition is really, really bad though. Worse than BA1.

The GF is addicted to BA2, particularly the sudoku. I don't play it, but I do enjoy shouting rude words at the Dr. on the title screen to see his reaction.

Just started playing Puzzle Quest Galactrix. The puzzle board itself seems to be a lot more interesting. More thought required, and generally less luck involved. Although the AI still cheats mercilessly when it needs to. The map is kinda boring through, just generic planets and asteroids.

Been playing Peggle Dual Shot too. Apparently it's been around for a while on a million other platforms. Pretty damn addictive, as most Pop Cap games tend to be.

                          GTA: Chinatown Wars

Best game on the DS? Certainly top 5.

I can see a few more GTA games coming to the DS after this.

IF i could play DS games on a big screen I'd definately get one. That became the crunch issue for me a few months back after trying one out with the intention of buying it.

On my GBA i can via the GBA game player hardware i've got attached to my GC. Sadly the two screen feature thing on the DS means you have no way of having something like that for the Wii.

I just find tiny handheld screens too uncomfortable, which is breaking my heart as the DS is the only console platform that gets good strategy games released on it - infact it currently gets more decent titles than the PC, home of the strategy game!!!! Curses!

                                Weird

If you want the DS on a big screen your best bet might be to use the No$GBA emulator on your PC. But maybe you're not into that scene so
