    You will, eventually...

BTW today I played Metal Slug on my DS with a new Neo Geo emulator, 55-60 FPS solid

        @ Alinestra Covelia,

congrats on the results - very good and the DS has some great games, so you should find plenty to enjoy.
Another vote for Advance wars, and maybe go for one of those weird japanese games(like katamari or whatever the DS has like it?).

Unlikely. And shame on you for mentioning one of the all time greats in the same sentence as the Sims.

I don't see any all time greats mentioned in my sentence.

The Sims? It certainly is one of the PC's greats in terms of games sold.
Oh I see you didn't mean great in this way...............this closeted love thing is very confusing sometimes!

I'm kinda torn about a DS, I have a nice gold Zelda gameboy advance (Snotty can verify - I took it when I visited his house for the game meet up that didn't happen), and it has some cool games etc.

Still the DS is getting more and more good titles, and maybe it's a platform I would consider as a release platform in the future, so it would make sense to have one and see how it works etc.........still it's more games consoles and part of me wants to draw a line under the last 5 years of helping support a medium I feel isn't always furthering the cause of making great games for the gamer. something like that.

viva la revolution!.......... or something Maybe I could do with brain training?

                      Re: Do want

This thing is addictive, I spent 4hrs on it yesterday.

I decided to scrap the samples I made though, as I now know WTF I'm doing.

                        How is Civ Revolutions?

I liked CivI, CivII, and SMAC. I thought CivIII was good in concept but rushed and flawed in execution.

Will I like Civ Rev? It's on the DS so I might add it to my collection if it's not crap.

I haven't played much CivRev yet, but the gameplay is pretty quick.

I had some problems with it at first, mainly the graphics were poor (compared to say Advance Wars, but they still work well IMO), and the interface is lacking (there is no great library, making it difficult to remember what everything does at first). But the game play is pretty good and never gets bogged down in micromanagement.

The AI is quite easy though. I had beaten deity by my 4th game.

It is awful if you have a PC that can play Civ4 properly.

And Civ4 didn't light my fire the way RONTAP did. So I think I'm not getting this.

It's weird - right now I'm playing on an old Game Boy Advanced, and I'm using it to play on oldschool original Game Boy game: Zelda - Link's Awakening.

I've heard that that game was the best 2D Zelda game ever, even beating out the SNES Zelda - Link to the Past.

But I'm stuck right now. I'll say, as you get older, your lateral thinking doesn't get any better. :/
