Rather, is it a really outstanding game I MUST play? Someones offering it on freecycle, but theyre all the way in Tyson's, and Im not inclined to spend an hour plus the gas for a DOS game to play on the dino in the basement.

It's quite good. Outstanding? Depends on your preference, of course.
If you like any of the other games in the series then you should definitely check it out.
