And in their own way, Galactic Overlord, Gladiator and Mafia we also all about timing, just maybe more important for some then others.
Though this thread rekindled some fond memories (of full PM boxes!
), I enjoyed each of the games I played in but I don't really miss them, and think they would be better to stay dead.
Having said that, if not for Forum Games and Other Games, not sure I would still be coming to Apolyton, it's what kept me coming back when I lost interest in Civ.

Agree with other that GO was the best alliance based game and it is a deserved winner. I also agree that the golden age of forum games is past - but man it was a golden age.
