  • Holy moley knights of the old republic is fun on the dark side!

Warning; this thread will contain tons of spoilers for KOTOR1/KOTOR2. You were warned.

I decided to reinstall the original KOTOR and KOTOR2.

I played them both through originally as a good guy. I started on KOTOR1 and played evil the whole way through.

At the very end of the game if you make Bastila your evil apprentice on the forgotten planet, you then go back to the ship and reveal to your crew you are once again the Dark Lord of the Sith, oh noes!

I laughed myself to tears at what followed.

You poll everyone to see if they will serve you or run, everyone in my party agreed... except for Carth who runs off.

Mission the Twilek also refuses to run and says you'll have to kill her.

I was trying to type up the dialouge.... but I found a youtube video of it! You have to skip to 3 minutes in to get to the good part with a wookie doing something... very naughty to a 14 year old girl!

Enjoy the videos and music that you love, upload original content and share it all with friends, family and the world on YouTube.

Also for your viewing pleasure.... the best of HK-47, everyones favorite murderous droid!

How does KOTOR2 compare to the first one.

Disappointing. It's an obviously unfinished game.

KOTOR2 in my opinion is simply a better game.

Deeper plot. Vastly superior UI. More influence over your party and the world.

The problem is, the end of the game is well, missing. They basically threw in a CGI scene and said "done"-the end feels unfinished but barring that it is a fantastic RPG, much better then the first one in really, every way.

I preferred the original to the second, primarily because the sequel was obviously rushed. However, the PC version had a lot of extra stuff in the game files that wasn't used, and this mod team has been trying to reintegrate it with the game to fill in those holes. It's nearing completion, and I expect the public release within a few months. I'll be replaying the second game once this comes out.

Well, and NWN > NWN2. See a pattern here?

              I don't because BG < BG2

Hmmm... I wonder what that equation looks like for Dr. Spike concerning the GW universe...

Team Gizka is NEVER going to release their mod. I'm almost convinced at this point it is a hoax. They have taken years and years. Even if it is not a hoax, they are so poorly organized apparently that it will never come out.

I think that KOTOR > KOTOR2 because of the ending issue, and some of the plot. The gameplay of KOTOR2 is generally better if you compare a spot in time, but the overall game of KOTOR is better. Perhaps the ending just spoiled it that much for me...

GW > GW2, since it hasn't been released.

Sure sure, but let's hear your take on Prophecies vs Factions vs the other one vs Ears of the South

Good ones always take a while. T2X: Shadows of the Metal Age took 5 years to complete, and wasn't released until after Thief: Deadly Shadows came out. I don't know when it'll be finished, or if it'll be finished, but I found it late last year. At the time, they were on one of the 0.7 builds. As of their current issues tracker, there are 3 tweak, 3 trivial, and 16 feature issues left to resolve. Looking at the specifics on those, they aren't really severe at all, and from the latest work-in-progress video, it seems like they've done a good job. Given the little bit left to resolve, I estimated Feb-April for moving on to their beta test. That's just a guess on my part, though, as I have no information in any form.

They have not had one public release in all of this time. Even if there are some issues left, after ALL these years, why not release even parts of it?
