Call To Power 2 Cradle 3+ mod in progress: https://apolyton.net/forum/other-games/call-to-power-2/ctp2-creation/9437883-making-cradle-3-fully-compatible-with-the-apolyton-edition
its pretty rare to have a "wargame" (IE a relatively realistic strat game about an actual historic conflict) get shelfspace in bricks and mortar, at least in the chains. HOI, Axis and Allies (whatever you think of its realism) and a few others are exceptions.

Matrix Games sell boxed copies of the game just like any high street store, so if you don't like downloads you can buy the boxed copy. The game seems to have been released in some countries like France, Germany, Spain, Poland, Russia but for some reason not UK or USA or over here. I think console games are so popular in these places now PC is harder to get in to shops. These days your credit card usually protects you from any bad web purchases so I think there is little risk.
New to this so many early decisions I probably have missed.
I have to read the booklet, just curious, I am Germany, is Berlin the only city to produce units from? (I say that because how do I produce water craft?)
Second, I am taking that once you possess land you possess the resources?
I am building up for my intended showdown with Russia.
This is pretty awesome, for when warring with Russia, as many commanders over the trevails of the years have learned, you get penalized for the Harse Winters...
England constantly does air strikes on my units in Eastern Europe, so instead of building support units in France, I am building up my Bomber Wing to take them out .
This game is very nice if anyone enjoys some good intense strategy
Bought this yesterday. The graphics are very reminiscent of the original PG.
A lot to get to grips with. One minor hitch is that it won't run from the desktop icon with Vista - I have to go into the game folder and click "run as administrator" on the exec file.
Seems pretty good if you like this sort of thing (as I do).

Yeah, I went to the Matrix Forums and they have a decent feedback from members on some issues as well!
