    Steam

    So I bought the orange box for the heck of it.

    I installed steam and now it is updating, but it is failing at that. It downloaded fine up until about 28%, which it proceeds to download slower. It gets up to 34% (but sometimes stops sooner) before either shutting off or going back to 0%. It then jumps back up to 28%.

    It did this from the install of the CD. I uninstalled it and downloaded it from Steam's site. The same thing happened.

    And I can't even play one of the games. Steam has turned out to be as horrible as I heard it was when HL2 came out.

    I downloaded HL2 for free because I had a deal with my video card. I was appalled at Steam. Not only did it want to update everytime I wanted to play the game, but it caused glitches during game play. I don't think I could even play the game while being offline.

    I'll never support Valve and their rotten steam. I'm sure there are cracks to play without Steam.

      I need it to install first before I can even think of cracks. It won't install because Steam won't update.

        I like Steam. I don't have to find the stupid CDs/DVDs all the time. I wish more games allowed you to download them (I would prefer stuff didn't run in the background th0ough, I just turn off Steam when I am not playing a game on it).
