Take note that we have no nuclear power plants here.

Vesayen, how did you get the full game a few days before release?

Same reason I have a copy of the full game.

I got my copy yesterday. I had it on pre-order through EBGames website, with next day air shipping. They sent it out Monday. However, unlike Vesayan, I am NOWHERE near finished. I am assaulting the harbor now, which is in the fourth "chapter", for lack of a better term (Loading screen). I do a lot of sneaking, and that takes time, so I'm sure I'll have plenty of play time invested in this by the time I finish.

I don't have major performance issues, with a system similar to Vesayan has, but I do get the odd slowdown. It hasn't crashed yet, and I like what I've seen so far.

What else? Surely none of us law-abiding citizens would download backup-copies of the Game?

Asher would not do it, they have Mounties over there

The only thing about the Halo 3 demo that was supposed to suck was the graphics - and that was excusable, as they didn't have many of the new models in.

I didn't mean the demo sucked part, just the rest.

                            Finally a sensible review.

For the 0.2% of the PC market that has an SLI system, Crysis is the shiznit. For these lucky few, mind-blowing graphics elevate what would otherwise be just another solid shooter into the realm of must-have gaming. Sadly, for those of us without golden toothbrushes, private jets and PCs from the future, it remains just a solid shooter, that isn’t in quite the same league as other recent triple A releases.

I don't really disagree with his commentary about the graphics, but it's obvious he missed something. When talking about the destructible environment, he says
If only the game included a chain-gun, we'd all be living the Predator dream.
The game DOES include a chain gun. I first found one when I got near the mine.

I adjusted mine to get playable frame rates, and was able to get it looking a little better than Far Cry while still giving acceptable performance. I do find it a bit frustrating that a game 3 years after Far Cry only looks slightly better with similar performance, however, I do think the gameplay mechanics have been improved.

Do I think Crysis is the best FPS ever released? No. I do think it's a really good game, but everyone is going to find something different in it. I personally think HL2 is the best FPS I've ever played, and some of you dislike it. Oh well, opinions vary. I think this one is worth trying out.
